The center of world languages and cultures is a structural branch of the Diplomatic Academy providing educational services to the broad sections of society. The program of the Center includes not traditional methods of learning foreign languages.
Here it is possible to learn English, German, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi and Turkish languages.
According to the two-year course there is a preparation of broad specialists – translators by the sectoral principle. The program includes the preparation of translators by next branches:
- agriculture
- extractive industry
- manufacturing industry
- transport
- economics, finance and banking system
- power engineering
- medicine and psychology
- military science
- ecology and extreme situation
- diplomacy and international relations
- law
- fight against terrorism and international security

The Scientific-research activity together with an educational process is the main direction of the Diplomatic Academy’s activity.
The main directions of scientific activity are:
- Preparation and edition of monographs, textbooks and manuals, guidance elaborations.
- Preparation of survey materials and recommendations to the MFA and other state organs.
- Organization of scientific forums.
- Elaboration of theoretical and applied problems in diplomacy and international relations’ field.
- Publication of Diplomatic YB.

According to the arrangement № ОФГН-055-2003 from the 2nd of January, 2003 between the State agency of science and intellectual property attached to the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of foreign affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic the group of teaching staff does a comprehensive study on the topic of “The Democratic and international legal constituent of foreign policy architecture and goals of the Kyrgyz Republic in the second millennium”.

The present research project is not only a retrospective and current, but also a perspective analysis of the Kyrgyz Republic’s foreign policy in the view of world situation and internal political situation in the investigated historical moment. The analysis of dynamics and practical steps of the Kyrgyz Republic on a sphere of diplomacy and international relations starting from the origin of independent democratic structure to this day is the principal goal of the project.
The research project on the topic of “The research of Kyrgyz ancient diplomatic relations” devoted to the 2200-year-anniversary of Kyrgyz State system has been prepared and approved. The present research project is intended for the first time to analyze the history of the first Kyrgyz ancient diplomatic relations with foreign states in retrospect. Other goals of this project are the systematization, periodization and generalization of Kyrgyz diplomatic relations with foreign states in antiquity.
The teaching staff of the DA MFA KR since 2002 works on “The history of Kyrgyz diplomacy” scientific project. The goal of this investigation is a study of historical conditions, factors and
prerequisites for the formation and development of Kyrgyz diplomacy; the establishment of traditional methods for the conflict resolution; investigation of relevant problems in a foreign policy; definition of Kyrgyz diplomacy’s development’s basis.
